Sniff Petrol reviews the F-Pace

The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace.

Sniff Petrol (I’ll give you a second or two to pause and think about that name before we continue…) have written up a report of sorts, after driving the F-Pace for a week. As expected, it’s not your average new car review.

TL;DR (look it up): It looks stellar on the outside but less so on the inside. Nice drive, though.

See the D-Type legends at Hampton Court Palace

1956 Jaguar D-type Ecurie Ecosse

On September 1st – 3rd, 2017, no less than five legendary D-Types will be on display at the Hampton Court Palace grounds, for the sixth Concours of Elegance event. You’ll also be able to view the equally legendary XJR-9 racer up close and personal as well.

The occasion for this gathering of Ds, is the 60th anniversary of Jaguar’s impressive 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 finish at the 1957 Le Mans 24 Hours race.

You can read more about the cars over at Sports Car Digest, and you can read all about the event at the official Concourse of Elegance site.

If you’re lucky enough to go, please post a report, we’d love to hear all about it.

Volunteers wanted!

No programming skills needed, but it does help if you’re familiar with word processing programs such as Microsoft Word, or the WordPress publishing software we use for the main web site.

What we need is volunteers who can help move content over from the old web site ( to the new web site. We’ve already moved the forums and are in the process of moving the Photo Albums, but what’s still needed is to move the “static” pages such as the model-specific information pages, the eBooks and so on.

The process will be mostly copy and paste, no need to worry about programming, design or colors. Just copy the text from the old page, and paste it into an editing window. Then download any pictures that are part of the page (not headers, menus, buttons, and that sort of thing, just the actual content) and place them correctly in the editing window.

If you’re interested in helping out with this, please leave a comment to this message in the forums, in the Site Feedback category. Or you can PM @jagwaugh, @nick or @gunnar (also in the forums).
